Illinois is trying to do their part to help puppy buyers determine if the puppy they are purchasing came from a “large scale” puppy mill.
The approved bill would require Pet stores to post information outside each puppy’s and kitten’s cage that allows consumers to conduct further research from where the animal originated.

If passed by Gov. Pat Quinn, the law would take effect Jan. 1, 2011.
