Though thousand plus miles a part from us, we must say that we had an excellent experience with this breeder. Always being but an e-mail or phone call away and answering promptly to any questions or concerns we may have had. She also showed exemplary knowledge and professionalism in all things concerned with the Havanese breed. What sincerely came thru was her genuine love, care and concern for these precious furballs. This is not a business or career for her, this is true heartfelt love which comes straight from her heart. You can definately tell that her utmost concern is the well being of these pups and that they go into the best homes possible. I truly believe she wouldn't let them go if she had doubts where or to whom she was releasing them to. We would not hesitate for one second in recommending Rose & Larry....The best!!!!!!

We are totally in love with both of our new babies. They acclimated to their new home immediately. I am sure it was an easy transition since Rose treats the puppies as though they were going to be her own. They get a great start. We feel lucky to have found Cubanitos Havanese. We did check out other breeders and did not feel they were doing it for the love of the animals. We always felt welcomed when we went to visit the puppies. I highly recommend this breeder.

On October 2008, after doing a lot of research I purchased a gorgeous havanese from Rose Perez. I have to admit I was very pleased with the service and attention I received during the period of inquiries until I picked up my puppy and some emails that followed later with reminders on the vaccination dates.
A few months later, when my puppy was 5-8 months, I noticed she was not walking properly and was limping on her right rear leg. She was also very sensitive in this area. After several specialists appointments, she was diagnosed with LPD, a common genetic disorder in Havanases, which is only corrected with surgery and if not treated she would live in pain for the rest of her life and developed arthritis at a later age. I wrote to Rose in several ocassions and she denied this could be possible. This condition could be confused with injury, but is NOT! It has a genetic origin! My puppy lives inside the house and even sleeps on my bed, she has a care taker the whole day, injury is ruled out!
Yes, it is possible! Her dogs are not genetically free of this condition and any future buyer should be aware they may encounter similar problems.
My puppy went under a successful surgery and today she is happier, healthier and free of any pain.
I am very dissapointed with how Rose handled my emails and she did not even answer my last email where I confirmed the condition and advised her that other puppies from this litter born on Aug.4/2008 could have the same problems.
Eventhough, I do not change my puppy for any other in the world I think any future owner should also read objective reviews that reveal real issues.

We're all head over heels in love with "Roger", and we can't say enough about what a pleasure it's been working with Rose.
Our little guy came home and immediately took the place over. He slept through the night his very first night home and is well on his way to being housebroken. He has a terrific disposition and loves the non-stop attention.
We own a preschool and Roger has become the school mascot. He's perfectly at ease even when he's surrounded by a dozen two year olds.
Rose is truly in it for the dogs. In fact, I had to email her after three weeks to remind her to cash the check...she forgot about it.

I started researching Havanese’s almost a year and a half before purchasing “Fulanita”. I came across Rose while calling almost EVERY Havanese Breeder in Florida and I was immediately impressed by her knowledge and attention. Having 3 girls ages 9, 7, and 2 I needed the “right” dog for my house…not too small, not too big, not too hyper, not too shy, etc. After meeting us and emailing with her throughout the year, Rose got to know my family, as we got to know hers.
When CC became pregnant with the litter that would correspond to the time we wanted our dog, Rose immediately notified me and kept me up to date with all of her updates. The exact moment the puppies started being born, I received an email…I feel that I was right there with CC AND Rose through the whole process. When the time came for me to choose my puppy, I left it up to Rose’s discretion because color is just something we see and I wanted to have a puppy that would become part of our family and fit right in.
When it was time to meet “Fulanita” she was everything and more than we expected. Rose drove down to Miami and “surprised” my kids! Fulanita has adjusted extremely well to my house and kids. I was impressed to see how well trained she arrived for being only 10 weeks old…the only very few accidents she has had have been because we were not vigilant at the moment! She is so lovable and such a wonderful companion, as well as such a wonderful playmate!
I couldn’t have asked for a better puppy or a better experience than what we had with Rose and Cubanitos Havanese. My next puppy will DEFINITELY be a Havanese and ONLY from Rose!!!

Oh my, words cannot express the pleasure, laughs and sheer joy Salsa has added to our home in the three weeks we've had her. She is very intelligent and picks up on things very quickly. Working with Rose was such a pleasure. We talked several times on the phone and she gave me all the information I needed before bringing one of her babies home. I feel like we will always be Havanese friends. Yes, yes, I would highly recommend Cubanitos Havanese. Our Salsa is very healthy, was well adjusted and ready to tackle the world with her new family. We have an 11 week old Havanese that we got from Rose about 1 1/2 weeks ago. Our little puppy is just adorable and Rose was very helpful with providing us information about feeding. caring for and house training our puppy. Rose has always quickly responded to our questions and concerns regarding the health, care, training and feeding of our new puppy.

Rose was a pleasure to buy Millie from. She interviewed me first to make sure we would be a match for her baby. She sold us a crate and xpen at her cost ($25 each) which really helps. She sends her puppies home with toys they've been attached to. This really helped Millie feel secure at her new home. We absolutely love Millie and her newness has yet to wear off even though we've had her for 6 months already. She was very easy to train and is a very mellow dog for such a small dog. We adore her and wish we could have a household of Rose's havanese. Rose has always responded quickly to questions I've had and shows genuine care for her babies. We would definitely purchase another dog from her if and when we could. Thanks Rose.

We are one of the very lucky families to have the privilege of having one of Rose’s Havanese puppies join our family. We got Hope at 5 months, two weeks before Christmas. She immediately adjusted and has been the perfect puppy since she has been here. I can’t say enough about how much Rose does to ensure that her puppies are ready to go join their new family and how she prepares the new family for their new puppy. She gives you so much information that you become a Havanese expert, and if you forget anything she is just an email or phone call away. It’s like you have your own Havanese Help Line.
You can be sure that when you do pick up your puppy from Rose, not only will it be happy and healthy, but she does her very best to ensure that she matches the right puppy the right family. She did that for us. I was set on getting an 8 to 10 week old puppy. Hope was older than that but Rose convinced me that Hope was the puppy for us. This couldn’t of been more true. Hope has slid right in to her spot in our family just as if she was always meant to be here.
We are already thinking about getting a second puppy, and we wouldn’t think of getting it from anyone else.
Cubanitos Havanese takes extreme care to breed the healthiest and the happiest Havanese puppies you could ever find. You would be crazy to get a Havanese puppy from anyone else!

I just adopted an adult one year old Havanese from Rose Perez of Cubanitos Havanese. I can tell you that my experience with her was an extremely positive one. Prior to getting my Mochie, Rose was very informative and was wonderful to work with. Rose is very personable and will go out of her way to make sure that both you and your dog are a great fit. She answered all of my questions and concerns about adopting an adult dog. I would very highly recommend her if someone who is considering an adult or puppy. Mochie adjusted immediately to our home and is a joy to have around. She is eager to please and is very intelligent. Mochie bonded with me immediately. Whether you are concerning a puppy or an adult from Rose, you will be very satisfied. Our dog is so loving and attentive, it is amazing. Sometimes people only want to adopt puppies, which is great too, because Rose puts her heart and soul into every puppy she raises. That is why our dog is so wonderul. I had a great experience with Rose Perez and her little Havaneses. Rose kept us informed of CC's progress during her entire pregnancy. After the puppies were born we got weekly pictures along with tons, and I mean tons, of very valuable information with regards to the particular breeds' health, diet, grooming, etc. When we got our puppy at 10 weeks she was already trained to go "outside". I found my perfect pet with Cubanito Havanese! My puppy was a little bit older when I met and brought him home with me. The puppy being a little older was a great advantage for me. He was well on his way to being housebroken and Rose and Larry had given him wonderful experiences including riding in the car and walking on wet grass. It is so obvious that Rose and Larry love their dogs and puppies! If you are considering a Havanese, I would strongly recommend a puppy from Cubanito Havanese.

The day my husband and I went to meet Rose and Larry we knew that we had met very special people. Not only are they loving breeders, but wonderful teachers. I have stayed in contact with them since I brought Zoe home. Zoe was a joy from the day we brought her home. So well socialized. I am constantly stopped and asked where I got her from. Anyone purchasing a puppy from Cubanitos Havanese will be purchasing a happy, healthy, smart and well socialized puppy.

I purchased my male Havanese puppy from Cubanitos Havanese on 2/10/06 and I am very satisfied. This breeder is very concerned about the health and temperment of their puppies and is available to new "parents" if you have any questions. Our puppy, Ricky, is almost 5 mos. old and he is healthy, beautiful and very sweet. I definitely recommend this breeder and I give them 5 stars

We bought our 2nd Hav from Cubanitos. We were very impressed with the home environment, degree of nurturing & people socialization, puppy health care, pre-natal care for the bitch & the obvious good health, care & temperment of the other dogs in the home. They also are very objective about their puppies; you can trust their judgment. Little Sophie Girl still sends an occasional "Puppy Chronicle" to "Grandma" Rose and "Grandpa" Larry! If we ever grow our Hav family it will be with Cubanitos!

Rose is wonderful. You can buy a puppy from her and know that your puppy has been raised with the utmost care and love. And Rose makes great expresso! When we left to take her puppy home she even cried a little, and it is obvious how much she cares. She is there to support you after your purchase and has given me great advice. Our Havanese is such a clown, and has given us endless hours of laughter.

I was not familiar with the Havanese when I first started my search for a puppy. Rose @ Cubanitos was extremely helpful to me in learning about the breed and also about puppies in general. She didnt sugarcoat what to expect and I never for one moment felt like she was trying to sell me a puppy. Ive had many questions and she has always responded quickly and thoroughly. As loving and responsible a breeder as you will find anywhere. I cannot imagine a more caring and conscientious environment for the first months of a puppies life. The preparation of the puppy for his/her new home is equal to the preparation of the adoptive family for the puppy, all of which fosters that human/canine bond. Cubanitos Havanese has a special gene pool bubbling over there in FL, because the puppy we adopted from them is smarter, more loving & beautiful than we could have imagined.

My experience could not have been more perfect. Rose covered EVERYTHING with me and made me feel very comfortable with all facets of the care of my new puppy. Our family is in love with our new puppy and I cannot say enough about this breed and Rose as a breeder. We discussed obtaining our puppy in length to make sure we were all right for each other. We could not be happier.
