Puppy Uniform Protection and Safety Act
Even though we are a site that by definition supports dog breeders, we are dog lovers before anything else!
For those of you who are unfamilar with what is occuring in Washington, a PA Senator, Gerlach, has resubmitted H.R 847 to amend the Animal Welfare Act.
Unfortunately, it does not appear to address the real concerns with Puppy Mills/Commercial Dog Breeders. Instead of making it so that small, hobby breeders fall under the commercial breeder label (if this bill passes anyone with more than one breeding age female that sells puppies ), I feel time would be better spent enforcing the current regulations.
